The current Editor of the BBC’s Middle East Bureau in Jerusalem is Paul Danahar, who has been in the role since 2010. Prior to arriving in the Middle East, Danahar was stationed in China and South Asia.
The BBC Jerusalem Bureau (located in Malha) serves as the corporation’s main base in the Middle East and hosts BBC News, BBC World Service, BBC Arabic and BBC Persian language broadcasting.
In addition to the bureau chief, other reporters also covering the region include Wyre Davis (who has been reporting from the Middle East since 2005 and in 2010 was made a permanent Middle East correspondent), Yolande Knell and the BBC’s Gaza & West Bank correspondent Jon Donnison who was previously posted in Washington DC and also arrived in the region in 2010.
