BBC does ‘Sun Watch’

Followers of the BBC Press Office Twitter account may have been surprised to see on December 3rd that the corporation has apparently opened its own media monitoring department.

Clearly the BBC is not happy when it considers that other members of the media get it wrong and thinks it important to establish “the facts”. Recent days have also seen BBC criticism of an additional media outlet for alleged “lazy journalism”.

Would that the corporation were similarly conscientious about accuracy and facts in some of its own content.

  1. Meanwhile, today’s newspapers report the Conservative government lashing out at the BBC for its biased hard-leftist coverage of government spending cuts. The biased hard- leftist “Guardian” newspaper has rushed to defend the BBC, urging directors to stand firm against these government claims of bias prior to the 2016 review of the BBC’s Royal Charter.

Naturally, neither side gives the BBC’s Isra-hate bias, inaccuracy and propagandising, so amply documented by BBC Watch, even a mention.

    • Duvidl finds it laughable that hypocrite Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen is quoted at length near the end of the Daily Telegraph article as having written complaining to BBC director-general Rona Fairhead about biased coverage of government spending cuts, while ignoring biased BBC Isra-hate coverage.

Of course, it was Andrew who said in the House of Commons October debate on creating a Palestinian state (passed by 274 votes to 12) that :

“: …States is very susceptible to well-funded powerful lobbying groups and the power of the Jewish lobby in America, it falls to this country and to this House to be the good but critical friend that Israel needs, and this motion tonight just might lift that logjam on this very troubled area?…”
